Born and raised with roots in Iowa, I attended Luther College achieving a BA & a BSW Bachelor of Social Work degree.  I completed my Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling at Drake University, after spending 15 years working with non-profit social service organizations. ​I focused my time on advocating for and working alongside parents, families and children at Orchard Place, Orchard Place-Child Guidance Center, & Drake University Head Start.

I am a Master-level Holy Fire III attuned Reiki Practitioner, and have been utilizing energy healing on both a private and professional level for over a decade.

​Before moving into private practice, my work as a mental health counselor at LifeWorks has allowed me to partner with teens, adults and children to tackle mental health and family struggles since 2019. ​

My use of play and expressive therapy with elementary aged children and teens/adults has solidified through experience that people of all ages benefit from movement, nature, play, music, creation & expression. Embracing what brings joy helps us connect to self, and build safety within the healing process.
